Since they're the house kind of Home Depot, and sold only in Home Depot stores and web sites, Home Depot honors the Hampton Bay guaranty. So if your fan breaks or fails, often times the simplest solution is to return the fan to Home Depot for a full replacement under guaranty. Install Hampton Bay Ceiling Fans Installing a new Hampton Bay ceiling fan is straightforward with its Quick-Connect Assembly System. Say so long to the boring process of assembling the ceiling fan blades with brackets and screws. On Hampton Bay ceiling fans, the fan blades are straightforward to assemble ; they slide and lock into place. The motor housing comes preassembled also. One ) Remove your Hampton Bay ceiling fan and all its parts from the box and find the maker's instructions.
Two ) switch off the power to the room where the new ceiling fan is to be installed.
Three ) take away the existing light fitting or ceiling fan.
Before handling any wires, ensure you use your electric circuit tester to check them to make sure that no electric current is present.
Four ) if you do not have a tool pouch, put the tools you want in your pockets for simple access while working on the ladder.
Five ) Install the Quick-Connect mounting bracket in the electric box in your ceiling. It'll snap in effect informing you that it's mounted in the right way.
Six ) Hang your ceiling fan on the Fast Connect fan bracket and wire the ceiling fan according to the maker's instructions. The 3 wires coming from your ceiling should match the 3 wires coming from your ceiling fan : black ( positive or hot ), white ( neutral or negative ) and green ( ground wire ).
Seven ) Mount the ceiling fan according to the maker's instructions and install the ornamental base of the fan, which covers the wiring and the electric box in your ceiling.
Eight ) Attach the fan blades using the Quick-Connect system. The blades will simply slide into the fan-blade bracket and lock into place.
Nine ) Install the light kit on your ceiling fan ( if applicable ) according to the maker's specs.
